How It Works

The goal of this project is to provide a means for finding and purchasing gift cards for the businesses in the online directory. Here is how the process will work for all participating businesses after they are listed. 

    1. Once a lovely customer submits an order for a gift card for your business, their payment is collected online.

    2. We receive confirmation of the order and immediately forward it over to you. It will include all of the details you need to know about the customer to fulfill the gift card.

    3. You contact the customer and make arrangements for them to receive their gift card. You're welcome to fulfill these orders any way you would like (i.e., e-gift card, mail a physical card, or however you choose to execute this task).

    4. Each week, we will mail you a check if you have received orders. As this site is powered by Shopify, your payment will include the dollars from all of your sales for that week, minus Shopify's transaction fees (2.9% and $.30 per transaction). All checks will be made payable to your Business Name unless you let us know otherwise.
Here are some tips for Best Practices:

  • Make sure to talk to the customer who placed the order within 24 hours of receiving the order confirmation from us, so none of us leave them in the dark about how to retrieve their gift card. 

  • Promote this site to your customers and encourage them to help you during this unprecedented time by buying gift cards. Post on social media, send emails or utilize your other favorite marketing efforts.

  • Encourage other small business owners you know to also join the site. The more businesses we can get to participate, the more publicity we can get for the site.
